Welcome to Enforcement Services in Beautiful Crowsnest Pass:
Enforcement Services has a new mandate by council -that being to develop policies, practices and education to build consistency with all that we do. What this means for you, our residents, is that you can be assured that if we are discussing an issue with you, we will most certainly be working on similar issues with other residents. It will be a deliberate practice and we will take the utmost care to make sure you understand the bylaw, the provincial statute, or the process we are discussing with you. We also will be reviewing all the bylaws to make sure that they are consistent, clear and fair. I can assure you that we will not pass these bylaws without input from you, and you will have opportunity to come to council as well and hear the information and if necessary at a public hearing apply to speak to the changes. I also look forward to that as well.
We also will be building better relationships with our partners. The RCMP, Fish and Wildlife, SRD, Parks and other municipal enforcement service agencies all work together to bring you a safe and friendly community, one that everyone takes pride in.
Crowsnest Pass is a hidden gem in the Rockies that is viewed by more tourists and visitors than you may imagine. You have a rich history, an amazing mountain playground, and friendly people that all work together to make it happen. At enforcement services, we will strive to assist you by keeping your community safe, clean and ready to receive those who move here, play here and work here.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours in community service
Donna Tona, CTS Interim Enforcement Services Manager
